WHO WE ARE

Our agency was incorporated in May 1975 as South Central Adjustment Training Center. In 1976 the first eight individuals came from the Redfield Developmental Center. We had thirteen staff members and two living options, both of which were group homes.

In 2000, we changed our name to Community Connections, Inc. Today, we are supporting over fifty people with a staff of sixty five. Our community living options number six with only one being a group home. Now work consists of mostly community based jobs with more options for employment.

Community Support Providers (CSP) in South Dakota has a long and successful history of providing the best quality services and supports to those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This success has been in large part due to the dedication and hard work of frontline Direct Support Professionals (DSP) that make these services possible. The need for supporting our DSPs is even greater today!
